NEWS ON MEMBERSHIP: 

TouchBase Membership System: NAMI is getting closer to the official launch date of the TouchBase membership system on January 4, 2010.  NAMI is now ready to offer specific dates and times for trainings held throughout the entire month of January.   

You MUST register for one of the training dates and times.  NAMI asks that you initially only sign up for one training per state or affiliate so that they can offer the opportunity to train as many groups as possible.  NAMI will be holding trainings throughout the months of February and March to accommodate additional users and groups that do not sign up in January. 

Trainings will be limited to ONLY 15 individuals per session.  If you have not received an email from NAMI please call Allison at NAMI Illinois...800.346.4572 to learn how you can register.

NAMI Membership Renewal Guidelines in effect!  In order to create a uniform system to all levels of NAMI and to ensure that all members are getting a full year of NAMI membership benefits, NAMI implemented the following schedule to determine membership expiration dates.  This schedule is based on a quarterly system.  

Each member of NAMI, whether they join at the local, state, or national level will have one of four expiration dates, regardless of when they join.

For example, quarters run:

July 1 - September 30

October 1 - December 31

January 1 - March 31

April 1 - June 30

Therefore, the four expiration dates will be: September 30, December 31, March 31, and June 30.  If a member joins in May, their expiration date will be June 30 of the following year.  If a member joins in November, their expiration date will be December 31 of the following year, and so forth.

By adhering to this schedule, the entire membership process-for all three levels of NAMI-will run more smoothly.  Having everyone operate on the same system will allow states and affiliates to conduct more effective membership drives and receive a better return on their renewal mailings.  Thank you for your cooperation.  Should you have any questions, contact the NAMI Illinois State Office.
