IRS Application for Recognition

To apply for recognition by the IRS of exempt status as
an organization you should visit the IRS site. Here you can
download Package 1023 (which you need to complete for exempt status),
Form SS-4 (application for Employer Identification Number, which you
must have to open bank accounts).

instructions on how to obtain your affiliate's tax exempt status.
An entity seeking exemption from sales tax should
furnish the Department with the following:
